Myofascial Release Can Help You Feel Alive!

Myofascial Release has helped many of my clients to feel revitalized and more alive!

Yes, those membranes that contain, wrap around and support all the material in the human body are key in helping you to let go of dysfunctional patterns that keep your energy limited.

Myofascial Release is a holistic treatment that focuses on finding those tight restrictive areas of the body that keep pain internalized.  By listening with our hands, fascial therapists can find those difficult places in the more superficial outer layers to deep inside at the core.  By focusing on improving posture through releasing the fascia, the body can relax and find optimal efficiency in fluidity of movement.

When you feel better in your body, everything in your life changes.  Your outlook brightens and the way that you interact with your world feels more positive.
Some of the symptoms that have been relieved through fascial work are:
  • Headaches and Migraines
  • Neck and Back Pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Menstrual Pain
  • Pelvic Floor Tightness
  • Sports Injuries
  • Jaw Pain
  • Scoliosis
  • Neurological Disorders
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • TMJ and other Jaw Pain
  • Carpel Tunnel
  • Bad Posture

Myofascial Work can be approached with light touch to a deeper more penetrating contact.  It’s up to the Myofascial Therapist to dialogue with clients to find out what level of pressure best suits the session.  Sometimes as a physical restriction is addressed, the response can be painful even with only 5 grams of pressure.  So make sure that you communicate what your level of feeling into sensation is to your therapist.  Because if you tighten up in reaction, that is counter-productive. The best work is all about Myofascial Release.

What is so great about Myofascial Release is that once the restriction dissolves, it’s gone.  Yet other layers must be addressed if you want a whole body approach to healing.  It’s best to talk to your Therapist about a series of sessions to unwind or help the body let go of tension patterns.  It often takes years or a trauma to bring the body out of balance.  Patience, feeling with awareness and letting go can change your life if you give it a chance!
