Love is You and Love is Enough

Love is You and Love is Enough

Love

Love is Everything

When it comes to Love, have you ever questioned how much of our energy we put into convincing other people of our self-worth?  It’s so easy to want to get people to like us. It’s validating when they do.  However, it can hurt when our efforts pay no return.  Are you familiar with this life strategy?

This is a common theme for many.  “We hurt our own feelings by thinking we mean more to people than we really do”.  Such disappointment!  How in the world did our thinking arrive at such a conclusion to act this way towards ourselves?

It’s in our culture, it’s in our family lineages, in our belief institutions to put our energy out towards others first.  “Others are more important than ourselves.”  But it is a set up really.

Begin by being your own friend and Ally first. Unless we begin to come inward and find out who we really are, we will be slaves to the dynamic of putting others first, and wanting something badly in return.  The love we think we want isn’t’ “out there.”  It’s living inside of you.  You only need to find and discover this internally to stop hurting yourself.  Mindfulness is a good place to start.  Moving toward restoration of mind, body and spiritual alignment is grounding and fulfilling.

Now I am not saying that we shouldn’t care about each other.  We are all part of the interconnected web of life.  But we can’t afford to neglect ourselves at the expense of others.  It does us no good to demand from others what we won’t do for ourselves.  Fill your wine glass right up.  Take in pleasure and nourishment.  Love yourself enough to welcome joy into your heart.  Clear away the cobwebs and discover your own true nature and the rest of that flow has a bridge to stream out and from to clear a path to connect with others in a healthy way.

We all have love within simply through Being Who we are.

I recognize the love of all humanity within each human being.  Even if it’s not always clear.  The more I clear in myself though, the more clear I get in knowing this experientially in relationships.  I only know this because I know myself.  Get to know yourself too!  Love is you!

With love,

Feeling Comfortable through Listening: The Art of Connection

Feeling Comfortable through Listening: The Art of Connection

Craniosacral Therapy

Feeling Comfortable is the Number One Priority

Being Comfortable is key for my clients. That’s why I do everything to create the most comfortable environment from the onset. For me this begins at the beginning of the first call. It’s important for me to listen quietly to the concerns from the point of view of the person on the other side of the phone. People deserve to be heard and understood when they are looking for help. Not to mention, this is also the key to supporting their own healing to unhold as we begin to work together.

Together we discuss different approaches to healing, using Craniosacral Therapy as the primary vechicle to healing and growth.   In addition, I also offer support with Energy Healing (Barbara Brennan School), Visceral Manipulation, Hakomi Techniques, Trauma Support and more.  Mostly though, I listen. Whether that is with my hands, my eyes, my ears or however information comes to me from your Deepest Inner Wisdom. It’s the combination of your words, and how your body speaks. Especially the unfolding of the most subtle of cues offer deeper ways for the body to self-correct. When this happens we develop a dynamic therapeutic relationship which supports wellness.

In any given session, comfort is enhanced when we are mindful, present, and there is good communication. That’s why Craniosacral Therapy is focused on staying neutral with the people who trust us in this therapeutic setting.  What this means, is we hold a stance of non-judgment  and checking in quite often. This doesn’t mean we don’t think or feel, but our awareness is centered on melding with our clients as we touch into the Craniosacral System. Nourishing the nervous system this way brings balance and peace. Also comments are specific to the process which originates from you. A skilled Craniosacral Therapist will want to meet and address your real needs.

Feeling comfortable is truly about feeling safe and deepening into trust.  It allows people to go silently inward or on the opposite side to express what is going on for them.  Often clients fall deep into silence or enter into a  reflective mode. Craniosacral Therapy is a beautiful therapy which helps you to heal as your are ready.

Choose to Love Change

Choose to Love Change

Change

You Can Change Your World

Are you willing to Change? In today’s world there seems to be a deep division. One of trying to go back and holding onto something from the past. Or perhaps a fear about a “different”  future. On the other side of the split,  people embrace change. Life is vital and dynamic. Which one feels healthier and more beneficial to you?

As a Craniosacral Therapist, most people who come see me are stuck either in the past or anxious about the future. Often I listen to their stories about “overwelm“.   I feel.  Simply because we all have a stories and attachments to things we care or fear about..  Mostly, what I notice as a therapist, is that the underlying anxiety or stres is not current.  It’s an attachment to something else in another timeframe.

My job is to listen and meld in the moment with my clients by connecting to their Craniosacral Rhythm.I primarily focus on the Craniosacral System’s nourishing qualities. There is something so precious about the exchange of experience by being in “the moment” with another. In the body, it’s easy to feel that in life, there is always blending and change. Blood and other fluids are flowing. The Nervous System is sending information. Dialgoue is ubiquitious in the internal workings of the.mind, body and spirit connection.

My constant observation is that if we want to heal, we do need to open up to change.  Letting go of all ideas, and blossoming into the New. Static holding in a compressed state is very limiting. The soul wants to grow and find joy in life when it discovers freedom.  Staying the same or caught in the net of the past only creates suffering.

What I feel in every person I touch is their Inner Light.  That light is always buzzing and alive. Human Beings are moving through time and space in a unique journey. In the moment, we can align with what is real and  current, or we can live in the past and get trapped in habits and stories. Fortunately, the Intelligence that lives inside all of us deepens as we step into change, embracing, rather than resisting.

Craniosacral Therapy is a body centered type of manual therapy which is gentle, and supportive. By tapping into the Inner Wisdom, of each individual, something stirs and awakens into the Greater Whole. The nervous system seems to balance, and most people say that they can better regulate and navigate more easily through life after doing Craniosacral Therapy.

I’d like to ask you, if you hold onto anything good or bad from the past- how does that serve you?

Being Present is where freedom and compassion live.  Change is inevitable.  Unfolding is natural and organic.  It’s your choice!

How to Understand Yourself Better

How to Understand Yourself Better

Do I Understand Me?

I think it’s an ongoing process to understand ourselves. We are so pre-conditioned. As children, we are taught values and personal morals. We identify who we are quite often by how others see us and define us.

This begins with the mirroring of our physical self. Our skin, our eye color, the shape of our waiste and our hips, our height and our weight. People reflect their opinions of us from early on. Perhaps they remark that we are beautiful or plain. Maybe our features look like they are of a certain culture. Also, on another level, people might tell us what we need or what we don’t need. They might say to us what is right and what is wrong, and what to believe. Our families especially even often shape what or who we believe God to BE. We often agree because this is part of belonging.

At some point though, as life greets us, some of these identify points begin to crumble. The ups and the downs of life will show us a new way. This is actually good news. When we step outside our origin story, we get to wake up to who we really are. It’s an unfolding story of authenticity if we so choose. It’s an adventure that often requires courage, an open mind, and a choice to move into the mystery.

When we break the bonds of loyalty to the image of who we are suppose to be, we break apart, and we blossom through our essence.  This is usually not an easy path- but it is a path of richer connection. It is one well worthwhile. To understand ourselves, we break apart and then re-build healthier relationships with ourselves and with others.  We grow, heal, and we learn, attaining new depths of understanding.

The funny thing that often makes me smile  though is that because of our dynamic nature, we are constantly changing from one moment to the next.  Who I am when I started writing here is a different person than right now. So when we think we have grasped a sense of Self, like fluid, we transform into someone else. This makes life so interesting.

One Question that keeps us in the Present is, “Who AM I Now”?  I don’t usually advise, but this is advice to keep this question ongoing.  It helps us to stay clear and present.

What a gift it is to move through time and space always in flux, even when we resist.  What a gift it is to know ourselves through investigation and experience.

As a Craniosacral Therapist, I have been privileged to witness many people transform and transcend their current struggles. It’s beautiful to observe the diving down into the deepness and the rise back up into the light.  The dance between the shadows and clarity is meaningful and precious. Eventually finding balance brings in clarity and groundedness.

I’d have to say that discovering ourselves and understanding  brings about a sense of empowerment and embodiment.  What do you believe?

I leave this post with,  “How well do you know yourself?”

How to Find Relief for Concussion Symptoms

Common Concussion Symptoms

Working with a Craniosacral Therapist Columbus

Concussion symptoms are serious business.  A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury. Any strike to the head should not be ignored. Especially if you find yourself being forgetful, sensitive to light, dizzy, experiencing blurry vision, confused, experiencing headaches, nauseous, clumpsy, moody, or having difficulties following instructions after any impact to the head, make sure you get checked out by a physician.  Symptoms may or may not appear immediately, so be mindful about your state of being for at least a few days. Especially if you lose consciousness, it is imperitive to your long-term health to receive proper care.

Healthcare providers will usually recommend that you take it easy after a brain injury. The brain needs time to resource its energy to heal. Usually with lots of rest, the brain can recover. However if you continue to have difficulties concentrating, feel off, or feel irritable with headaches, you may want to check in with a Craniosacral Therapist.

Having experienced a few concussions myself, I have found that besides rest, Craniosacral Therapy has helped me the best. How this works is that a Craniosacral Therapist. will directly work with the cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds the brain and the spine. Why this fluid is so important is that it protects, helps nourish and moves out toxins.  A concussion or a Traumatic Brain Injury will disrupt function.  Craniosacral Therapy listens and melds with the deeper healthy currents of the Craniosacral System to bring better symmetry, a healthier rate, optimal quality and amplitude to the rhythm.  After a numerous bumps to my head, the Craniosacral Work has helped me to feel more balance, more clear and able to manage my life normally.

My training is with the Upledger Institute

If you would like to find more detailed information about how UI is helping to advance research and the positive results they have observed in clinics and intensives, check this link:   Concussion Help

If you are suffering from concussion brain injury, don’t wait.  You deserve to live a good life.
