Healing With Heart Energy

Healing With Heart Energy

Most of my practice is based in Craniosacral Therapy Work. I also went to the Barbara Brennan School of Healing for 8 years, and taught there, I have a strong foundation in Energy Healing, and it flows in every session.

While Craniosacral Therapy is primarily about allowing the client’s system to navigate back to health, often in energy work, facilitators will see the aura or pick up things with their clients that could be helpful and shared. Quite often when my clients ask me what I see with my eyes open, it is a beautiful green light that is enveloping us both. The longer the connection, the more the color green becomes more and more clear. Also, in my heart, there is often a deep peace. My clients feel this as well.

Anyone can learn how to work with energy. You too if you are open. We are all Energy Beings. We are all Created in Love.

Your Voice

Your Voice

Sometimes in life, young people are not given the opportunity to speak or to feel deeply. They grow up staying silent, and allowing life to pass by. In fact, as time goes by their authentic voice drops deep into the shadows, well forgetten-non- existent.

This can feel like torture. We are all given gifts to bring into the world. And if pain is showing up in your life and you-it’s time to move to Self-Care. And how you do that is by being kind to yourself and asking for help. Especially if you don’t have the answers.

Find someone who will support you. Who will mirror your core qualities. Never settle for less than that. Take the time to sort through your thoughts and emotions. Feel into your body and question how to reconnect what your body is holding onto and what is true in the moment pleasure.

When you discover who you are, you will finally shine. You will Speak Your Voice and feel confident. Maybe for the first time.

You are a Masterpiece ready to happen. Never Forget that.

5 Ways to Smile

5 Ways to Smile

Sometimes, life can get you down. Things don’t go your way. Your dreams fall apart.

When this happen, it’s easy to falls down the spiral. Almost familiar. Yet, our true power comes from lifting ourselves up out the dark and comfortable.

Feeling Good Power can take root again. It is found by choosing Joy and excitement again. Here are 5 ways to help you smile and change your life for the better:

1. Get Outside. Nature if very healing. Allow the sun to warm your brow. Let it energize you. Feel the breeze on your skin, or a cold snap wake you up on a gray chilling day. Pleasure is found everywhere when you open your mind to the outside world.

2. Gratitude- Acknowledge your challenges or your “failures” but don’t put much more energy on that once it is done. Refocus on what you have learned from your mistakes and make better choices moving forward. Find thanks for all the little things in the past opportunities that have reminded you of your own unique brilliance and genius. There is always something good in everything.

3. Be kind to others and yourself. It feels good to be in service and to uplift others. But just as important- meet your own needs in a kind way. Remind yourself to listen to your Higher Self Guidance, and let go of your doubt. Acknowledge your fears-and move right through them with compassion. Treat yourself to things that bring you authentic joy and a smile on your face. Practicing smiling wakes up the Inner Kindness.

4. Reach out to others. Often people who are depressed feel alone. There are billions of people on this planet. Make contact and put yourself out there again.

5. Follow your passion. It’s easy to believe less about ourselves than to see the wonderful qualities that make up our core. Ask others to reflect back our strengths and learn to accept praise. Take critical feedback as someone else’s view, but something you can work on or not to move forward.

We all deserve to smile. Joy is always here. May you find your smile today and share it with life!

Building Self-Confidence

Building Self-Confidence

Self-Confidence is not always easy to come by. Especially if the reflection of you from others has been bullying, putting down, dismissal, doubt, belittling, excluding and such. How does one get to know their authentic essential Self when this is the world in which they live?
These negative mirrors are a sense of abuse to the True Self. Especially for children who are so open and ready to absorb everything.  Babies are filled with such innocense and curiousity. They take what they are given as truth because they are simply born this way. So dependent and needing to be protected. Their tiny brains take in what is offered, and they organized based upon the reality that is presented.
As children grow, they look toward their parents, their friends, and community to teach them about love and kindness. But this is not always the case. We all know this. We turn on the news and violence is everywhere.
So what can a person do to overcome all the breaks in their trust formed from the world in which we live?
One of the keys to this is to begin to trust your own Inner Wisdom. You know, it is that voice in your head that says,  “this is the best way”. It may say to you,  “take a bath”.  Something as simple as this to relax your muscles and give you some time to empty your head.  As you begin to listen to this “Higer Voice” more often, it will get more inolved in more difficult scenerios more often too.  Our Inner Wisdom is always wanting to help us to grow and change, even when we resist the generosity of this Self-Love.
Often enough, when we have been betrayed or hurt, we decide, “oh- I will do this alone, on my own”.  We do this to try and stay safe.  It can make sense for a short time, but in the long-run, we begin to close ourselves in.  We miss out on the reality of inter-connected relatioships both within ourselves and with the outer world.
In our hopes to survive, we need to change our thinking.  We have been limiting ourselves and our potential severely.  You  and I were born to greatness.  We are walking miracles happening every moment.  The Spirit of God, of the Universe, of all of Existence is living inside of us, trying to give us guidance each day to live our best lives.
If you want the best for yourself.  If you want to be strong, creative and a true leader, you must begin to listen to your Own Inner Wisdom instead of leaking it away to Others.  You will know that the voice is truth when it if Kind, Compassionate, Honest, and Truth.  It will resonate in both your heart and your mind. Listen to this voice and notice how your life begins to change. Notice the new steps that you feel brave enough to take.  You have he resource inside of you to be a Powerful Presence for yourself and for others.  I want this for me, and I want this for all of you who read this.
If you have been drawn to read this, these words are writen from that Voice that comes to me.  I hope is uplifts your day to know that everything is possible when you begin to Listen and build your Self-Confidence.
Warmly,
Sharon Hartnett Cst-D

Are You Dealing with Chronic Pain?

Chronic Pain throws a jolt into life, doesn’t it?

One of the most difficult things about chronic pain is that there is no break.  The body continually sends signals to the brain that say “OW”, and there is no rest on a physical level. If your chronic pain is lasting days, weeks or even months, you need some help. And if your chronic pain is coming from an illness level, it’s important that you seek medical help. In addition to that, naturopathic and/or functional medicine can also be very helpful in supporting an overall maintenance or health recovery.

chronic pain

chronic pain

What I would like to talk about is twofold.  The myofascial component of pain, and also how the mind reacts to pain.

  • Fascia-If there is inflammation in the body, it often affects the fascia as pain or dysfunction of some sort.  In the reverse, if the fascial body is tight, disorganized or unhealthy, it can also cause pain patterns. Because fascia interacts with all the living things in your body, it is important to address any myofascial issues that contribute to your chronic pain.  The problem is that most people have never even heard of fascia. So they go on medications and travel the traditional route looking for answers. Sometimes- the answers are there. Sometimes not. Mostly, in my practice I receive clients who have found no resolutions anywhere.  So what do we do?  We begin a dialogue between my hands and the person’s fascia.  The body tells me where to go.  Whether there are tight sheets, torques, pulls, resistance or whatever- we work there until the soft tissues start to melt and re-vigorate.  I look for more hydration, flexibility, motion and general health in the fascia.  When this happens, compression and dysfunctional patterns disappear, leaving more flow and energy to help self-correct the physical body.  The body eventually begins to feel more space and alignment, and voila- you can breathe again.
  • The Mind- It plays a huge part in how we respond to physical pain. It is true, that as human beings, we can suffer with physical pain.  But there are other things that can make pain worst. And usually, believe it or not- when we ignore our pain- the pattern usually gets worst.  Ignoring our bodies does not create better health. One thing that is helpful to do to relax pain patterns is to do a breathing meditation, Breathing with awareness helps to bring motion back into the body.  Motion is vitality. On top of that benefit, when we start to notice our thoughts, and beliefs, we become more empowered in understanding how our mind is organized. When we experience our bodies, with gentle awareness, pain often softens and can actually subside. As we question our unhealthy thinking, the mind expands, and so does the space inside of us.  I know,  that sometimes it is easier to resist the pain- but that really doesn’t help long-term.  Take some time each day to find the silence in the moment, the places in your body that are feeling good, or ask for loving kindness to fill you up.  The mind’s relationship to pain is important.  If you want to feel better, it is crucial that you start to explore other conscious choices.

I have worked with people on the table for close to 30 years. Chronic Pain is not the easiest thing to shift.  But with a holistic approach, I have seen people get better, and heal.  Looking at the foods you eat, your exercise schedule, how you think and act, along with your meditation practice can truly help.  Finding a person to journey with you and support you through modalities like SomatoEmotional Release can be life changing.

Remember,  that chronic pain can be a lonely place.  Don’t leave yourself in that position.  Get some help because your life is important.

Getting Clear about What You Want in Life

You CAN get clear about what you want in life.

How?

What you need to do first is start by getting clear about your commitment to Clarity.  Set certain times aside for yourself to explore.  This can be done alone, or with a friend, healer or a therapist.  Self-discovery is a very interesting process. It begins by bringing your awareness to your thinking and how it affects you.  Cause and Effect.

Most of our thinking comes from our history and projections into the future.  What we believe about our stories can become very important to us.  And the filters that we now see the world through can be dimmed by repetitive belief systems.  By realizing how we identify with certain thinking patterns, we can change how we experience and create in the world.  Three keys to getting clearer about what matters to you:

  • Mindfulness is key for bringing awareness to thoughts that confuse and that block us from finding optimal value in our lives.  And it is in the quiet listening to our thoughts as they pass through, that we can navigate into the deeper silence.  Without the clutter, things are much closer to the heart and easier to navigate.  Into the “Now” place, life springs forth and life is more simple.
  • Being Curious makes space for new ideas and perspectives.  It’s like opening a door to see what’s next.
  • Experiencing means being with what is here right now in the moment.

Once the mind starts to quiet down.  Awareness can be experienced as more expansive.  We can step out of our normal living box. Perspective opens.  The bigger picture gives us an advantage to seeing things differently and with more clarity.  Experience and centeredness helps us to know what feels right for us.  It helps to define our relationship to the moment.

The mind and its consciousness is a larger field than just one person alone.

There are infinite possibilities.  But with healing relationships, we can investigate truth, and get more clear about who we are.  Our false identities dissolve and life feels more simple, and more restful.  Believe it-  when the mind opens, clarity is a relief.

Getting Clear by reaching outside of “normal” thinking patterns.Reach for the sky!

Worthington Ohio Craniosacral Therapy CST

Announcing my move to Worthington for CST work!

Are you looking for Craniosacral Therapy (CST) in the Worthington Ohio Area?

I am newly open for CST two days a week at:  6797 N. High St. #333 Worthington, Ohio.

This is my new travel day into the city.  Mostly, I have been working in Johnstown, Ohio.  However- my friend has offered to let me use her office and the space has great energy, and is very convenient for my clients who often drive far.

I have had a CST practice for close to 20 years.  Manual Work, close to 30! The reason I have been specializing in Craniosacral Therapy in the last 20 years is because the work is very gentle, yet truly helps people in the long run to get well, and more active in their lives.  I have seen many of my clients find pain relief, lose their stress, and integrate into a more relaxed balanced people.  More happy, and healthy holistically.

The areas where I have seen the best changes are with:  headaches, neck and back pain, emotional stress related to the body, and concussions.   But CST is helpful really for anyone.  That is because it works primarily with the brain and the spine and how it supports the rest of the body.  The work is profound, and as the sessions continue- people change their lives.  They turn things around.

To see some of my reviews, go to:    Lighten Up Therapies

The best way to find a Massage Therapist is by word of mouth.  If someone takes the time to write a review, that means a lot! I am very grateful for all the positive reviews!

Feeling Better with Craniosacral Therapy

A question that invariably comes up at the end of each session is, “How long will it be until I am feeling better?”

That is a fair question.  People want to be feeling better.  They want to know what kind of investment they need to make in themselves in regard to time and money.  I have been a Massage Therapist for about 20 years, and have been doing Craniosacral Therapy (CST) for about 15 years.  And to be honest,  I have to say, that if you have been in pain or suffering for years, it is possible to have a miracle with CST.  I have seen huge changes in people, especially after multi-hand intensives.  I have seen people in extreme pain get up off the table even after one session, so happy to be feeling better.  But in actuality, it usually took years to fall into unhealthy stress patterns, and it usually takes multiple sessions to get better.

Feeling Better

Feeling Better

An honest Craniosacral Therapist, or any good therapist for that manner- will never make you promises about your health.  Why?  Because thee is an Inner Intelligence in Your Body Mind that knows how to heal.  And that is the way back to health.  The rest of us therapists, are facilitators with tools in our bag, that can help with the process.  But ultimately- it is up to you whether you heal or not.

Where does healing come from? Sometimes, we just heal by the grace of God.  Our bodies, when healthy, can repair quite easily.  So f we have enough internal resources, our body takes care of us really well. However, if we have chronically ignored our body signals, or have deep stress or have been in an accident-  plan to make a commitment to your health and receiving the care that you need.  Only you can make this decision to do whatever is needed to find yourself back in health.

With Craniosacral Therapy, our focus is to listen to that intelligence that is running through your body systems, especially the Central Nervous System.  This includes the brain, the spinal cord and nerves throughout the body..  The Craniosacral Rhythm which results by the creation and reabsorption of cerebrospinal fluid shows us where there is health and where there are restrictions in the body that keep us from optimal wellbeing.  With a very light touch, a cranosacral therapist can help the body to self-correct.   Because the touch is so gentle, the body does not defend against the support and nourishment.

Every person deserves to feel good in his/her body, the heart, and in spirit.  And there is an innate wisdom that we each have been blessed with that can help.  But it does often take time and numerous sessions if you are not well.   I am being honest and promising nothing.  But what I can say, is that the body is a doorway to healing on so many levels.  And Craniosacral Therapy can be a wonderful way to set sail.  You can benefit best by making the decision to commit to your healing journey with a Professional.
