Love is You and Love is Enough

Love is You and Love is Enough

Love

Love is Everything

When it comes to Love, have you ever questioned how much of our energy we put into convincing other people of our self-worth?  It’s so easy to want to get people to like us. It’s validating when they do.  However, it can hurt when our efforts pay no return.  Are you familiar with this life strategy?

This is a common theme for many.  “We hurt our own feelings by thinking we mean more to people than we really do”.  Such disappointment!  How in the world did our thinking arrive at such a conclusion to act this way towards ourselves?

It’s in our culture, it’s in our family lineages, in our belief institutions to put our energy out towards others first.  “Others are more important than ourselves.”  But it is a set up really.

Begin by being your own friend and Ally first. Unless we begin to come inward and find out who we really are, we will be slaves to the dynamic of putting others first, and wanting something badly in return.  The love we think we want isn’t’ “out there.”  It’s living inside of you.  You only need to find and discover this internally to stop hurting yourself.  Mindfulness is a good place to start.  Moving toward restoration of mind, body and spiritual alignment is grounding and fulfilling.

Now I am not saying that we shouldn’t care about each other.  We are all part of the interconnected web of life.  But we can’t afford to neglect ourselves at the expense of others.  It does us no good to demand from others what we won’t do for ourselves.  Fill your wine glass right up.  Take in pleasure and nourishment.  Love yourself enough to welcome joy into your heart.  Clear away the cobwebs and discover your own true nature and the rest of that flow has a bridge to stream out and from to clear a path to connect with others in a healthy way.

We all have love within simply through Being Who we are.

I recognize the love of all humanity within each human being.  Even if it’s not always clear.  The more I clear in myself though, the more clear I get in knowing this experientially in relationships.  I only know this because I know myself.  Get to know yourself too!  Love is you!

With love,

Moving Into the Light: How to Lift the Shadows

Moving Into the Light: How to Lift the Shadows

Your Sacred Light Opportunity

We are all mixtures of light and dark.  Sometimes others will try and fool you.  They present themselves as holy, as illuminated and high and mighty.  That’s ego.

The Truth is that we are all made from the same Source, the Creator. The story of origin lives and dies everywhere all the time.  We are all ordinary in our sameness.  We are all extraordinary light creations in our unique experiences. We are all small. We are all great. Every soul possibility that lives with me, lives within you. That is the substance of God.  It is the love of God that sustains us whether we remember or don’t.

I used to wonder when I was younger, why am I alive?  What is my purpose here?  How did I get here?  By my 30’s, I felt such a deep dark hole near my heart.  I missed something in this lifetime, and yet I didn’t know what it was.  By now, in this stage of my life, I know it was the Light within.  But I have to decide to take the path of truth and love many times over to wake up.  We are all interconnected.  We all do better when we unite.

Anyway, for me, this hole has been my teacher. The spirit which lives within me has chosen to be a  spiritual seeker. I move toward the “whole “open heartedly.  I am an opener of doors. Yet I also  know that to constantly seek can present its own stuck dilemma loop.  Therefore, I aslo love to choose gratitude as well. I tend to rejoice more in the moment.

Personally, I am a Pisces, so I am overly sensitive, creative and very emotional.  This thing called life has been so easy in some ways, but internally not so much.  I live inner struggles all the time by trying to understand how to fit into humanity and its polarities, and to feel, and understand how limiting my beliefs and others can be.

I recognize that in our own way, each of us suffers.  We all feel pain.  Nobody wins the prize for who has it worst.  However, what we decide to do with all that we have been given-that’s what matters.  That’s what give meaning to our lifes.  That’s where we get to join into the school of human evolution.

We have two choices in life really.  A “Yes” or a “No” to what life has to offer us.  Being human, we identify as being individuals.  These are the rules we live by.  I am me.  You are you.  We are taught from and early age, our names, and some type of social order to which we belong.  Our tribe so to speak.  Yet, at some point, do we want to step out?  What does he take to move away from the familiar?

Each tribe has its own resonance.  It’s own ways of doing things.  We belong until we don’t anymore.  It is inherent in all of us that we will  have opportunities to grow. Awareness is moving in and out as waves of new consciousness , intending to wake us up to something bigger than our individual selves. Alas though, we can resist change too.

These tiny brains that we are given soak up everything which is being mirrored to us.  Our identify is formed by all the outer influences and how we dance with them based on our soul configuration and personality. Because we each live different lives we each end up experiencing, accepting and also confronting expriences which are Light Opportunities for us to grow and shift into the Greater Whole.

The 3 Main Core Challenges:

1.  Choose Love or Move Away From It

2.  Take Responsiblity for our Choices and Actions or Deny Life as It IS.  Also included here is to Blame in order to avoid oneself.

3.  Choosing to live authentically or to pretend to be what others want and tell you to be.

For us humans, it’s not so easy to love all the time. Conflict is inherent in indivualism at this point of our evolution.  Some times we are just plain mean spirited.  Often we can see ourselves and others trying to hurt each other. Underneath all of us are woundings that have never been fully met nor understood.  So we repeatedly act out our lower selves. We are living in an illusion of our own making.  Our social media imposes fake reality all the time. With AI emerging, even more so in the future.  Still, we can choose love and light at moment.  It’s available.

Often, it seems so hard to take responsibility for our hurtful and cruel choices.  At a young age, most of of learn to slip the blame somewhere else.  It gives us an instanteous relief.  However, in our youth and until we learn, we don’t realize that the lies we tell ourselves hurts our health, wellbeing and our soul self.  Pointing a finger creates nasty karma when we don’t sense and feel into the consequences of our own negative actions.  Choice point moments are to accept Yourself as you are. You are Light.

One of the most painful things is to live by the standards of others. Although we train for this starting at a young age. We all do.  Eventually though, as we mature, we are intended to break out and find God in our own individuality. I truly believe that is why we are all here. We have these Light Opportunities to transform and transcend beyond what we ever imageined we are capable of. Change can be found in the smallest acts or grandiose.  However evolution enters into your life, you get to choose to hold onto a past that is over.  Or- you can choose to be in your truth and express the true authentic you.  No matter what the cost.  There is profound beauty in being yourself.

This world is a low dark place on many spots.  At the same time, the Brightest, Most Beautiful Compassionate Light is EVERYWHERE.  Sometimes it will be more apparent. Sometimes we have to listen through our senses intently to catch sight.  The best place to begin to look is Within.  Learn to Trust Yourself and to be kind.

In conclusion, God is not “Out There”.  God is in everything.  That includes you too.  Perhaps people have labeled you as “bad”, “not worthy”, or “not wanted.”  But that was them.  Live in your own lane, and follow your heart.  Your reason will align with compassion, kindness and generosity to Self and others that way.

I’ll give you a little hint.  What I have discovered is that the path is going to continue your whole life.  We are not all awakened all at once. No matter what color skin, which religion, or type of job we take. We come here to journey in these skins together.  So take the opporunities one at a time. Learn from your mistakes and glory in the gifts of nature. Everything is here for your taking and understanding.  And when it’s enough, you’ll remember that you are embodied, whole and complete. The seeking stops.

I Don’t Know How to Feel

I Don’t Know How to Feel

Do You Know How to Feel?

From where I am listening, Billie Eilish is taking music to the next level.  Her songs are helping the younger generation to know how to feel. However, it’s not just Gen Z and Gen Alpha, but truly anyone can appreciate the talent she brings forth through her music.  I am in my 60’s, and her albums call me inward.  I am amazed at her mindfulness,  talent and the messages in her music.

Most recently, I have been listening  to her songs a lot. “What I Was Made For” is just one of the many songs that has touched me. An artist, she creates a story about self- discovery.  She takes us through a journey of healing over and over again through her delicate, gentle, and soft storytelling voice.  My guess is that so many people are awakening to feeling through her sound.

I think about the work I do with Craniosacral Therapy. So much of it is about Healing.  Listening to the music inside of each person, there is a symphony waiting to happen.  An expression.  A Happening.  We only need to tune in and blend into the wave and the rhythm. Although it is a very physical process, it’s similar in that it is a mindful dance with life.  Billie is fortunate, in that she delivers on a huge scale exploring how to feel.  Open minds are fortunate in having life teaching through voice in such a courageous and talented way.

I admire the vulnerability in stating the collective human challenge right now in , “I don’t know how to feel”.  So much of the violence which is happening in the world today is because beliefs get in the way of our protected emotions.  We really are at a stage where it is worth the risk to open up more and be our own artists.

I hope that Billie and more young people catch this groove and continue to expose and be transparent and honest.  We need this in the world today.  As a soon to be grandmother, I enjoy seeing the world change, and the people in it.  Let’s move forward for freedom of individuality, but also in love and acceptance for ourselves and for others.

Break the cycle.  Be open to Learn How to Feel!  Open the door.

Grounding: 7 Fun Ways to Start Your Day Afresh

Grounding: 7 Fun Ways to Start Your Day Afresh

What is Grounding?

In all the years I have been doing healing work, whether energetic or geared toward embodiment, I have heard a lot of talk about grounding.  But what the heck does that word, “grounding” mean?

In current times, grounding means reconnecting to the earth’s electric energy. I have often read and observed that when done properly, grounding can help calm anxiety and stress.  As a Craniosacral Therapist, while I am sitting at the feet of a person who comes into awareness of their body, it’s easy to sense their ” grounded presence’ down to the toes.  It feels very integrated, and full.

Here are a few ideas you can try to have your own experience of grounding:

1.  Breathe into your body with awareness. Mindfulness wakes up the body communication between the brain and the rest of yourself. Start by breathing in your head, and work downward until you embrace the sensation down to your toes.

2.  Walk barefoot outside.  I know that when I walk outside, I feel my feet being supported by the earth.  I listen to what the earth sounds to me, and it feels so structured, nourishing and strong.  It’s great!

3.  With loose wrists, do percussion slapping lightly around your whole body.  It’s sort of like cupping very quickly to a rhythm.  It’s stirs the nervous system into attention.

4.  Jump into some water.  Either a shower, bath or a pool.  Soak and feel the sensations.  Water can help us to feels refreshed and awake.

5.  Play with your dog or cat.  Animals are naturally grounded.  Interacting with them can bring such joy and groundedness.

6.  Jump rope or jump on a small trampoline, or sit on a bounce ball.  All of these help to connect the feet and legs to the earth.  Of course waking up our lower part of our bodies well.

7.  Dancing:  Anything that is done through movement with the body can be very grounding.  It’s fun, creative and opens us up to the more physical parts of ourself.

I can’t tell you how many times people lose their connection to the ground, especially as they get older.  It’s important to connect to the physical part of our being.  It helps us to feel like the earth is here to provide us with what we need.  It helps us to trust in life.

So when you are feeling afraid, or stressed.  Set your intention to reconnect again by grounding.  Make it a daily practice.  Notice how much more secure and happy you feel.  Pull yourself up from your bootstraps and take off!

Surrendering Into Our Higher Selves

Surrendering Into Our Higher Selves

Surrendering To the Greatest Existence

(Which Exists and Doesn’t Exist)

Nothing could be better than being human. Surrendering. Do you feel that deep inside? A flame burns Within, and these makeshift bodies in which we live are candles of soft wax, living and breathing as skin. A sparkle of birth and an eagerness ebbing in and out of us like the ocean tide. Our fluids inside nourish and clear away the old, tasting of sea salt and blood. We are renewal itself. We are night and day, and we are indeed all the seasons.

We are constantly reaching internally through the tides of life and then testing the waters as we expand to the farthest distance of our comfort zone. We are a pulse. We are a particle. We are a wave in motion. We are experience Itself. We are Whole. We are pieces of the puzzle which all inter-connect to each other. We are one thing, and then we are another, ever-changing. We are still. We are active. We are organisms. We are stardust living an earthly life. A sparkler burns, with flickers of light landing in air, and we meld with the elements, transforming from one form to the other. We are souls living a very human existence. Deciding our level of surrendering.
.
This life as a human faces pain and suffering. Not one of us escapes such an encounter. So many of us look away, trying to pretend life is not as it is. We fight trust. We battle acceptance. We stop acknowledging the Truth which looks us in the eye. We build weapons, and start wars. We lie. We cheat. We steal. Sometimes we murder and we don’t look back. Calloused from the past and fear, we freeze in time. Numbness is the extreme state of loss. Complete forgetfulness. We lose our senses and know not why we came here. We dampen our glow. We try to fit in, even when it makes no sense. Cruelty and bullying. In our inconsequential smallness, we try to hurt each other. But mostly we hurt ourselves. Humanity is dimming. It’s lost its direction in so many ways. That first breath is withering. The air is dirty. The options have run out. Or so it seems.

The Light And Darkness. Yes, the tango seems to be slowing down. Movement comes to a halt, but underneath is the flickering longing to exist and to crawl. The need to grow. It’s so strong. It never dies. It can takes us through any challenge. It can place us high on a mountain top. It can have us walk through fire or miles of snow deep and bitter cold. It can be a mother’s embrace that nurses her baby back to health. It can be expressed in innumerable shades of human love and effervescence. The essence which lives inside this shell of a body is eternal. We are so much more than we have ever imagined. We are not isolated. Rather life gives us a rich unfurling chance at time and space. It gave us an opportunity to identify and to believe. Life is about expression and creativity.

We get to pretend that we are individuals, living independently and cut off. And then something whispers to us to wake up. What will we choose? The potential. We gain a rich understanding of self and relationship. We think that we have discovered truth and freedom. It feels real. It feels like we can touch reality. But what are we really doing here?

What is real? And who else could be the leaders, if not you and me, that make things happen for the best? Do we have any iota whether any of this is of our own doing? Or are we puppets on a string. Are we being played out. Or are we the the One? Wow that feels so overwhelmingly big to consider. Could it possibly be that we are more than our make believe limited human Self? Do we dare to imagine? Do all the possibilities of all of existence exist for us? Are there ways to navigate humanity in this day and age that lead us out of the possible extinction which knocks on our door every second by the darkness in which we swim?

I pause. I contemplate the feasibility that we can move into another direction than our past repetitions. What I do know, is that while I wonder if I can do it alone, the most important question really, is AM I Alone? I ask Existence to Show me more as I gratefully bow down to Greatness Before Me. When we consider how we are born, live and die alone as an individual person, are we really only about “me”? Or is there something larger, more grand in the scheme of life that is cheering us all on, wanting our evolution to be more than just empty space. Something that encourages unity over independence. I am not sure.

Something Created Us. Even if we are just a fragment of the Whole being brought through the human lungs. Maybe this adventure of being here on earth is an infusion of the Holy wanting to laugh in joy, and cry in the depths of sadness. Maybe the Oneness lives in us all, and also in the stars beyond with no expectation or outcome. What if we have the right to live as individuals, but also are awakened or not in a state of Harmony, Peace, and Compassion based on our soul’s yearning?. What if we are birthed to find a way to have it all? To feel that and to know that?

Today, I have learned to accept that I have no control. All there is for me in surrender. This body is aging. So much appreciation for it now. Placing my belly on the earth and feeling the solidity beneath. If I turn my head and look at the sky, I know that there is space forever beyond. I breathe in and breathe out. I feel myself. I gather my senses and say thank you. I try to live another day being the best person I can be. Even when the shadows envelope my sight. I keep thinking about the dance between me and the other. All the while feeling the mighty All singing in my veins. To live fully until I die into the Majesty. And wander into the Next.

Surrendering into ourselves in the Way…

I end. I begin.

Embracing Wholeness and Wellness

Embracing Wholeness and Wellness

wholeness

Knots on the way to Wholeness

This morning, I woke up considering wholeness. Dreaming about my early childhood. I was bathing in that quiet serene place where I felt connected to my father’s side of the family. Memories of cousins, and second cousins. aunts, and uncles. The family coming together. One big family. An extended family. Close. I was a crumb, that made up a cake, and I felt safe in the bosom of my family. I felt happy. I felt even more deeply content at my Grandmother’s house when everyone was there. She came from a large family, and the web was thick.

Next, I dreamt about my mother’s family. Seeing my grandfathers cousins at his funeral, and my Grandmother Mary’s family from Pennsylvania. Back then people easily traveled in for a funeral to pay respects. Soothing to the soul to have a sacredly held transition. Even though my grandfather was adopted, people who knew him from decades past gathered.

I felt farther beyond in the thread where even in absence of knowing, the line continued back generations earlier. My Pa came from somewhere unfamiliar to me, but the person who bore him, and the one before her, they all make up a chain that never can be broken. No matter the circumstances, the love, the hate, the good and bad decisions, the lines are made, and the order never does break. What is born is not unborn.

I was lucky to have been brought up in the refuge of this large family as a very young girl. It is something that gave me a taste of happiness. Even if it was later going to fall apart.

Today, in my 60’s though, I have fine memories that help me remember that I come from two long lines that individualized into very different families, different cultures, and different religions. These ancestors of mine moved across different parts of the earth, each living a life worth living. Because of course, all of life is worth living. They all faced good times and hard times, but somehow made it through and lived enough to continue the line on. They all add up to nourish me through their time and experiences here, and now my children too.

In that state between waking up and getting out of bed, I also felt how if I traveled back even farther, that the two threads would eventually come together as One. Realizing again in my life that although we have different experiences, and different beliefs, that we all come from the same lacework. All of us our interconnected, and the Life Force that blesses us to be human beings is the same. It is powerful, and the more we stand together, we remember this.

Quite often these days, there is an emphasis to live in the NOW, which helps us be in wholeness. Perhaps because scientifically, that’s all there really IS. But as human beings, we do live in space and time. We do have this web, of which we all are a part. We have all struggled and suffered to some degree. If we are fortunate, we have also found miracles and love too. We feel. We sense. We get to experience this beautiful world. These moments are so valuable. It feels to me like it’s important to not rush towards enlightenment or heaven so quickly, but instead to savor what we are and have now. We will meet all the parts, and know ourselves as it all unfolds.

This Sunday morning, I write to remind every soul, that we are a knot of individuality in the web of life that crosses time and space. And we are also born from the One Source. If we want to find peace & joy, and if we are to stop creating violence and hate so strongly, we must remember that we all come from the same place. We are sand on the beach, a pebble in the creek. We are Creations of God, or Source, or the Universe’s Creative ability. Whatever we believe, we are One and the Same.

Maybe it’s important to remember this. Perhaps some might want to find a new quality meaning in life. Maybe this is a good reminder that without each other, we are nothing. Do you feel like you are living a life worth living. Do you do things which uplift others? Especially someone you don’t know or care for? Even the smallest changes count.

What if, when you wake up in the mornings, you connect to your Higher Self, sensing into your wholeness, and set your intention to make a positive change by facing your Lower Self with love? Start within to wake up to what is real. It will change you. And when you treat others well, especially those who seem different than you, when you give them an opportunity, you give this to yourself as well.

We are a tapestry that dances across all the universes. Every act touches the Whole. All the threads, and all the knots, we all have value, just by Being.
